Hike to Howth

You can barely see it, but that rock mound had a diving board. That water is freezing 365 days of the year.

Greystones has an adorable shop called Aunt Millie's Sweet Shop. I've learned that I LOVE bonbons.

We had a huge treat on Wednesday: going to Dublin to see the musical Once. It's a movie; you should watch it. I'd never seen it before, but the music was the kind of quality that I got chills all over constantly throughout the show. The musicians were incredible. We went as a "polygadate". If you know anything about Taylor, you probably know about pick-a-dates. Well, since we have way more girls than guys, it was 2 or three girls to 1 guy. I didn't hear any of them complaining.

The theatre was stunning, though this doesn't do it justice. When we got back to the YWCA the cooks had prepared a beautiful candlelit dinner for us complete with flowers on the tables, crooner music, key lime pie, and famous Bewley's coffee. It was a lovely time.

I had to include this random shot of a pub I saw in Dublin.
The past two weeks have been very different as they have involved very little sight-seeing and instead we read two textbooks and had two exams. It hasn't been a blast, but it's amazing the amount of information you can take in about a subject in a week, that's for sure! This weekend we will be taking a 3 day trip again, and I'm really excited! The following weekend my friend Kayleigh and I are traveling to London! If you have some suggestions of what we should see or do while we are there if you've been, please share!

Still no news about a family or about the grant yet! Waiting in great anticipation :)

Love to you all!

  1. Will continue prayers about a family and the grant. May the Spirit guide you to the perfect family in Turkey, and may you find out soon who they are and news on your grand application. You look like you are enjoying your experience so far and sounds like you are learning along the way - bonus! May God continue to bless you Cassandra!
